BU9s have strong showing in Irvine Summer Classic
Jun 28 2010 - Harvey Goodman
The Cypress FC BU9 team had a strong showing in the Irvine Summer Classic played at UCI on June 26-27.  The team finished with 2 wins, a draw and a loss to finish in 3rd place.  The only loss was a tightly contested match where a last minute goal produced a 2-1 margin of defeat.  The boys scored 13 goals and only gave up 3 goals in the four games.  The playoff for 3rd place resulted in a 5-1 defeat of AC Brea to avenge a penalty kick shootout loss in the Spring Cup.
